The project
Starting point
The EUmies Awards coordinate a European process involving architecture associations, experts, practices, authors and an international jury. Each edition brings together hundreds of works, with their documentation, images, authors and different selection stages.
The Fundació needed an internal tool that brought the whole process together, with different access and tasks for each profile, so its team could organise the information without scattering it across spreadsheets and emails.
What we did
We built the application that runs the awards from start to finish, from registering works, practices and authors to nominators and the jury, evaluation rounds, email campaigns, exports and the settings for each edition.
Each participant views and completes the information that concerns them, and the Fundació team manages everything from a single panel. The page for each work brings together images, documentation and data so that reviewing them is easy.
Technical decisions
The application is separate from the public website, with different permissions and journeys for each type of user. Works, practices, authors, nominators, juries and rounds are stored as structured data, so the same information is used for evaluation, communications and exports.
The back-end keeps statuses and content in one place, logs every change and is easy to maintain, so no stage of the award depends on spreadsheets, emails or separate tools.
